Lisen is a performing artist moving fluidly between solo work and collective creations. With curiosity,  she explores the body, desire, class, risk, and humor — always through a feminist lens and with an eye for power structures. Her practice blurs the lines between theater, choreography, and performance, often stretching beyond the traditional stage and into the unexpected.

She thrives in process-driven collaborations and is drawn to method-making — and collaborations that strengthen process-oriented and non-text-based performing arts.

In recent years, Lisen Rosell has created works for venues such as Turteatern, Dramaten, Moderna Dansteatern, and Stockholm City Theatre. Her works include The Clan of the Cave Bear, Pride and Prejudice (selected for the Swedish Performing Arts Biennial 2022), The First Butt, You Want it Darker, and Forever Young (selected for Bibu 2024). She is currently presenting The Flower Kiosk at Teater Tribunalen, a public sound piece at Östra Kyrkogården in Malmö, and the elementary school production All I Can at Regionteater Väst.

Lisen is a longtime member of the ÖFA collective and has been a co-creator of numerous performances since its beginnings in 2006.

You can see Lisen performing, directing and develop performances. Sometimes devided, sometimes all at once in the same piece.
